This “building” was designed following the exact proportions of the facades of the Place Vendome.

A bit of history: Straight out of the imagination of Louis XIV, the Sun King, the Place Vendome constitutes the crown jewel of Paris and is also the symbol of absolute monarchy. It is a testimonial to the splendor of French classical art. Its octagonal plan was designed by Jules Hardouin Mansart, the architect of the Chateau de Versailles. It took the name Place Vendome in the seventeenth century, after the Hotel de Vendome that had initially been there. Many illustrious jewelers have opened their businesses on the Place Vendome.
